| Largest Market in the World Greatest Gathering of the Industry |
| With the fast growth of China chemical fiber and textile industry, international trade became increasingly active in the industry. In 2005, chemical fiber export volume of China added up to 709.9kt with total value of USD 1.472 bln. The exports of textiles and knitting products from chemical fiber amounted to 3382.6kt with total value of USD13.387 bln. Meanwhile, 1500kt chemical fibers, more than 11000kt synthetic fibers along with 400kt man-made fibers were imported with total value of USD 14.1 bln. Besides, output of three major types of chemical fibers took up almost half of world total (as indicated on the charts below). In 2006, chemical fiber output of China is projected at 17500-17600kt. The sales value of chemical fiber industry is expected to arrive at RMB 280 bln, representing growth of 15% from year 2005. |
