2005 has been an unusual year for chemical textiles industry.
The quota phasing-out leads global textiles industry to a brand-new
era. At the same time, the trade dispute comes in a continuous
stream. The Sino-US textile negotiation has held for eight
times, and the developing counties such as Columbia, Mexico
and Peru also impose safeguard restrictions on Chinese textiles.
In order to reduce the cost for export, the tariff for textile
export was canceled in 2006, but at the same time, the quota
price of 21 categories of textiles also increased. The experts
forecasted the pace of export might slow down in face of restrictions
and appreciated yuan value. The textile industry is not expected
to be as good as this year.
