His report is divided into five parts:
Part one: Summary of polyester operations in 2024. This section outlined the overall capacity, profitability, operating rate, import and export conditions, and downstream operations throughout the year of 2024.
Part two: Trade turbulence. This section summarized the export of textiles and apparel in the past two months, the impact of the U.S.-China Trade War 2.0, a review of the U.S.-China Trade War 1.0, the response strategies, the resulting impacts, future areas of concern, and an analysis of the future growth of cross-border e-commerce.
Part three: Gradual recovery of domestic demand. This section analyzed the recent situation of domestic demand and the inventory levels in the domestic market.Mr. Ni mentioned that downstream inventory was also higher than in the same period last year, but there were regional differences among enterprises.
Part four: Challenges faced by downstream textile enterprises. This section focused on the expansion situation, order levels, operating rates and processing spread of downstream textile enterprises, explaining the difficulties faced by these businesses.
Part five: Structural differentiation on the supply side. This section analyzed the structure of polyester capacity expansion, predicted capacity growth rates, and assessed operating load trends, as well as the supply and demand patterns for PFY, PSF and PET bottle chips and PET fibers.
